Digging out the crawl space
This used to be a crawl space. The team excavated out all of the dirt and rubble from where the crawl space was to underneath the footings on the walls.
Complete excavation
This is a bathroom that we removed to waterproof under this area.
Dirt and debris removal
Here you can see the crew removing the dirt where the crawl space where it used to be.
Crews getting to work
The crew is never afraid to get dirty if that's what it takes to get the job done. A very large amount of dirt needed to be removed, and we were prepared.
First helical pier being installed
We needed to excavate the earth from the outside so the machine could drive the helical piers into the earth and support the home.
Second helical pier installation.
Here you can see the machine driving the piers into the earth. This is what we used to help solve this home's structural problems.
Secured helical piers
We drove the piers into the ground and now they are very secure.
Outside the home view
Here you can see the piers from a different angle, still showing how we were able to dig out the area for the piers to be installed.
Before pouring the wall
This is what the piers looked like from the inside of the home. The only thing left to do is to pour the rest of the wall.
CleanSpace covering the basement walls
We used CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls to brighten the interior of the basement. This material also helps repel any moisture that could try to seep into the newly restructured space.
Replace the floors in the old bathroom
Now that the new wall was poured and the basement walls were waterproofed, we knew we needed to replace the concrete floor where the bathroom was.
New bathroom floor
Here you can see the old bathroom has a new floor and the proper pipes have been installed so the plumbing can be finished and a new bathroom can be seamlessly installed.
New part of the basement
This is the area where the old crawl space used to be. As you can see now it is not a crawl space anymore. We were successful in turning it into a part of the rest of the basement.
