Even though they had no window downstairs to vent out dust, somehow, there was very little dust from all this. They laid tarps from my front door , down the basement stairs to the area where they were working. It was remarkable how little dirt that was created. On the same day, they also painted the walls in the unfinished storage room to freshen up and reseal the walls. This was all done in one day. The guys just kept working...
On the day that the flooring was put down, when the men initially called me to say that they were done, I was not satisfied with how the tile was cut in several areas. Even though it was the end of the day - and a Friday - they stayed an extra hour and recut tiles to do a better job. On that day and several times since then when speaking to the employees of Century Masonry and Waterproofing, I was told that they truly want their customers to be happy. If there's something that's bothering you, they want to know and they will do whatever they can to rectify it. I think they were terrific.
As a post note, my neighbors across the street had water remediation done at their house and I watched the contractor come to their house for ten days! Every time I looked out the window, the workers were outside, taking a break. They were subjected to noise and dirt for almost two weeks. I couldn't believe the difference!
